King's Quest 7-8

This part will cover the parts 7 and 8. I knew the King's Quest series had a lot of games but I didn't know it had a 7 and 8 until doing further research. I don't know how many people would know of these two games but I'm going to briefly cover them below. I'm going to put a disclaimer here that I never did play these games but only watched them be played through.

King's Quest 7 "The Princess Bride" (Estimated Playtime 10 hours)
Review: After doing some nice revolutionary work in King's Quest 6, Sierra was ready to try their hand at another approach. One could say that this game was geared more to a younger audience simply by looking at the cheap DIsney-like animation and the childlike humor. Instead of save slots, the game offers one continuous save where "deaths" are treated with a try-again approach. The story of the original series is hugely lacking where the characters from King's Quest series are there simply by name. If you gave these characters different names, the game could be treated as a whole different game entirely.

Infamous Puzzle: Most of the puzzles are solvable. Some require heavy backtracking. However, one puzzle involving picking up a firecracker and carrying it to a locked door caused huge problems for many people. This was later patched.

"King's Quest: Mask of Eternity" (King's Quest 8) (Estimated Playtime 10 hours)
Review: This one is a bit tricky to review for it... well... let the wiki explain it: It "is a hybrid point-and-click adventure and action-adventure developed and published by Sierra Studios in 1998. It was the eighth official game in the King's Quest series, the first and only game in the main series where the main character is neither King Graham nor a member of his family, as well as the first in the series to use a full 3D engine as opposed to the 2D cartoon or pixel style of the earlier games and the first to omit the sequel numbering system on box artwork and title screen." So as you can see, there wasn't much publicity for this game. And unlike Final Fantasy 7 or Tomb Raider, this game didn't do very well in that time of age where polygons became popular.

At this time I'm still looking into the fan rendition of King's Quest: Silver Lining (some say King's Quest 9). However, again I must mention that there are only 4 episodes out of 5 released. The Odd Gentlemen came out with the remake (some say the 2015 King's Quest) but only currently have 3 episodes out of 5 released. I will release what I think about these games when I finish them.
